Firstly, assess the lawn that you are turfing and make a draft plan on how you are going to proceed, consider factors such as checking fencing, that the ground is level, as you may need to excavate or build up that area.
Removing the lawn can be done either by a mechanical turf cutter or simply by hand with a shovel, please ensure that the area is cleared to a two inch depth.

To prevent weeds from growing through, a membrane should then be placed over the top of the soil.
Now, apply sharp sand to the area, then level out the sand over the inch depth. To help prevent settlement the sand can be wacker plated.
You have almost completed your preparation for the installation of the turf, finally the area should be screeded level and finished off neatly around the edges.
Lay out turf and mark the latex at the required places where it will need to be cut the timber. Using a sharp a sharp bladed knife, fold the latex back over and carefully cut along the area you marked. Then back over the turf to give to give a nice finished edge. (If a joint is not required please proceed to step 10)
Lay the two pieces of Turf next to each other on the required area so they are ready to be placed up together, carefully cut down the rib at the back of the turf, as close as you can possibly get to the rib without cutting into the rib. Continue the process with the other f turf, you can carry out the step with a sharp bladed knife.
For the next step it is strongly advised to wear protective gloves, now fold back both pieces of turf, apply the adhesive strip along the whole length of the joint ensuring that it is rough side up. Evenly apply the Aquabond adhesive to the tape and spread out using an old cloth. Fold the turf back ensuring that the 50mm. Then you should roll in the joint to ensure the latex backing is in full contact with the adhesive.
When the Artificial turf has been cut to measure following the step 7, then the turf should be screwed securely to the timber at 300mm intervals using a 25mm self tapper screw. If any excess occurs neatly trim it off using sharp scissors.
If you have used a sand filled product you then need to spread kiln dried sand over the turf using approximately 10kg a square metre brush the sand the turf with a stiff garden brush.
